We provide specialist licensing services to operators and owners of licensed premises.

Our innovative approach to managing your licensing work will improve processes, save you time and significantly reduce your legal costs.

We know that keeping your premises open and trading is critical to your business.

Ensuring your premises are correctly licensed can be a timely and costly exercise when you would prefer to focus your resources on the other important issues that you face.

That is why the likes of Marston’s PLC, Heineken UK and Macdonald Hotels turn to us when they need help with their licensing work.

About our Licensing practice

We have, for many decades, had a specialist licensing practice arising from Derby’s proximity to Burton on Trent which some still refer to as “The brewing capital of the world”. This department has grown significantly and is regarded as one of the UK’s most respected Licensing teams.

Our client list is a testament to this and includes Macdonald Hotels, Marston’s PLC, Heineken UK, the Youth Hostel Association and Kew Green Hotels (operators of Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza Hotels). We also act for a significant number of smaller operators.

What sets us apart?

Our strategy of putting our clients’ needs at the centre of our thinking and decision-making sets us apart from other law firms. We call this ‘putting you first’. This approach has resulted in a strong reputation for providing quality advice and great value for money.
