It is estimated that 1 in 3 people are currently going through the menopause and research suggests that the vast majority of people suffering with the effects find this has a negative impact on their careers.
With an ageing UK population, issues associated with the menopause are likely to arise more frequently and employers will need to be well equipped to handle matters sensitively and appropriately to support their staff, avoid breakdowns in working relationships and ensuing tribunal claims.
