Flint Bishop has been appointed the sole provider of licensing advice for all Star Pubs & Bars (leased pub business of global brewing giant, Heineken).
Flint Bishop already provide legal advice as part of the brewer’s leased pub estate. But this new appointment gives the licensing team the entire estate; some 1,200 licensed premises throughout the UK.
The move follows a review by Heineken of its UK legal panel, which saw global law firm DLA Piper appointed as principal legal advisor to Heineken in the UK. However, at the request of Heineken, Flint Bishop Solicitors was retained to carry out licensing services under the management of DLA Piper.
Commenting on the appointment, Head of Licensing at Flint Bishop, Andrew Cochrane, said: “Star Pubs & Bars are a
fantastic company and we are delighted to secure this appointment. This will see a significant increase in the amount of work we do for Star Pubs & Bars across the UK”.
The team will draw on its extensive experience in licensing law, developed from working with a wide portfolio of other high profile licensing clients.
