The Government has issued revised Section 182 guidance

section 182 guidance update

The main changes to Section 182 guidance provide further clarification of what constitutes premises in relation to temporary event notices and provide further guidance on temporary event notice hearings where counter-notices are issued.

The Section 182 guidance includes more information on beer gardens or other outdoor spaces; it clarifies the advertising requirements and the role of Responsible Authorities and updates the guidance on licensing hearings.

The new guidance also clarifies expedited reviews or gives further advice in relation to decision notices on appeal.

The biggest changes relate to the major revision of the advice in relation to cumulative impact assessments and also clarification on the interaction between licensing and planning.

The revised Section 182 guidance is dated 24 April 2018 and can be found on the GOV.UK website.
