Flint Bishop LLP has recently advised technology innovation firm, Interface Polymers Ltd, on a £2 million investment round spearheaded by private capital partner 24Haymarket.
Interface Polymers was spun out of polymer synthesis research at the University of Warwick in early 2016. Now boasting a growing list of customer collaborations and new headquarters offices in Loughborough, the firm is taking leaps in the industry towards its ambitious goal of becoming a global leader in polyolefin additives.
This further investment will enable the firm to continue expanding its product range and scaling up manufacturing capacity to meet fast-growing customer demand.
Rachel Bennett, Corporate Finance Partner at Flint Bishop commented;
“We are delighted to have advised Phil Smith and the team at Interface Polymers on this investment from 24Haymarket; another exciting stage in the business’ growth and development.”
The firm is developing innovative applications for their technology based on demand from overseas customers in the packaging, construction and recycling sectors. Examples of applications include the removal of tie-layers in multi-layer packaging, improving paint adhesion and enabling recycling of mixed plastic waste.
Phil Smith, Chief Executive Officer at Interface Polymers, said:
“We are delighted to have 24Haymarket and their investors on board. We have a fast-growing queue of customers waiting to trial our Polarfin® additives so this funding will enable us to scale up production and further develop our value propositions across a diverse range of exciting applications.”
Jean-Lou Rihon, director at 24Haymarket commented on the investment;
“This is a first-class management team that we are backing, with in-depth knowledge and outstanding track records in chemicals and other relevant sectors. With the help of the non-executive directors, the business should advance relatively quickly into becoming a provider of high-performance additives to targeted industries.”
