It has been decided by the Government that they will not be setting locally set Licensing fees at the present time. Very few Licensing Authorities have provided them with evidence of their costs and so they are awaiting this evidence before proceeding.
The Government’s response to the consultation on locally set fees does however state that they see merit in allowing Licence holders to nominate a date to pay their annual fee which may remove an administrative burden for businesses holding multiple Licences, however, allowing nomination of an annual fee date would require legislation and it is thought therefore unlikely to occur in the
