The Midlands Insider recognised leading firms at its annual Dealmakers Dinner, which included an awards ceremony celebrating the region’s deals, several of which our Corporate & Finance team acted on.

These deals included LDC’s £25m development capital investment in Aspin Group, the management buyout of Magnet Expert and Hilo Capital’s acquisition of national jewellery outlet, Chapelle Jewellery.

The Dealmakers Dinner is a prestigious black-tie event to look back at some of the largest and most prestigious deals to hit the region.

Martyn Brierley comments;

“Having advised on a number of the transactions which were nominated for awards at this year’s East Midlands Insider Deal Maker’s awards is a reflection of the high-quality work we have been advising our clients on. It was good to be recognised for providing legal advice for the SME Deal of the Year, the acquisition by Hilco Capital of nationally recognised, Chapelle Jewellery. Some of the deals we act on go unreported by the press due to the restrictions that are often placed on publicising transactions. As the department continues to win more instructions, we are very much looking forward to expanding the Corporate Finance team to continue delivering high-quality and bespoke services to our clients.”

Qamer Ghafoor comments;

“Over the last few years, we have heavily invested in the resource to our Corporate & Finance team. Martyn took over the department earlier this year and his dedication and support has not gone unnoticed by the clients he services. We have had excellent feedback and continue to work alongside some of the region’s heavyweight banks and accountancy firms. These acknowledgements are a testament to our team’s work and reputation in the marketplace as a leader in corporate finance advice.”
