The opening of the new Law School at One Friar Gate Square is on the horizon. We look back at how the University of Derby built some of our most valued members of staff to date.
Flint Bishop employs a number of University of Derby graduates across multiple disciplines.
Claire Rudkin, who lives in Duffield, has been with the firm for ten years and has the largest private client department in the city. Claire completed her Law and Accountancy honours degree in 1994.
Katie Enright is the firm’s only in-house designer and is responsible for all branding, adverts and multi-media throughout Flint Bishop. Katie has been in the business for over seven years. Katie completed her honours degree in product design, innovation and marketing in 2000.
Richard Woodward graduated from the University of Derby in 2004 with a 2:1 in law. Richard is working for clients on disputes in a range of areas including contract, probate, property and insurance with varying degrees of complexity and value.
Andrew Cochrane comments;
“The University of Derby is committed to the success of its students and this is evidenced in the capabilities of some of our most senior members of staff. Not only do we continue to reach out to the University when we are recruiting, we are currently looking at a number of opportunities to support its students further. We have partnered with the University across the Law School and the Business School, as well as requesting the support of the lecturers and staff at the University to mentor our own employees within the business.
The new building at One Friar Gate Square seems the most appropriate place for their students to be situated as they are surrounded by some of the largest and leading law firms in the region. We welcome their move to one of the most distinctive buildings in Derby and wish them all the very best as they settle into their new home. I’m convinced some of the new intake of students this coming September will be amongst our staff in the future and wish them all the very best.”
