Due to expansion and innovative ways of working, Flint Bishop has attracted staff from BLM, DAC Beachcroft LLP and Keoghs.

Andrew Burgess, Rehana Ahmed, Kayleigh Thornton and Kush Raichura all join the firm as specialist Personal Injury Lawyers and are currently supporting a major insurance client, Haven Insurance Company Limited. Sarah Barber also joins the business from Neo Law as a specialist Costs Lawyer.

The team, which has seen exponential growth in the last twelve months, is now the largest Insurance Litigation team in the East Midlands. They have devised and implemented bespoke processes and strategies tailored to the needs of their clients, which has allowed the team to efficiently deal with the work they undertake, which have received excellent praise amongst the insurance industry.

The team has a formidable reputation for robustly pursuing insurance claims on behalf of insurers and also offer a counter Fraud service under the guise of ex-DAC Beachcroft expert, Raj Sumal. Raj has been instrumental in developing the team through expanding our Fraud offering and developing and enhancing other key areas, such as Credit Hire and Large Loss claims.

Insurance litigation partner Raj Sumal comments;

“With the additions to the team, it now shows that Flint Bishop is attracting specialist staff from all areas of Defendant PI, which puts us firmly on the map. We are pleased to now be in a strong position to cover a wide variety of insurance law services including Motor, Casualty, Catastrophic Injury/Large Loss Claims, Credit Hire, Fraud, Recoveries and Costs.”

The team is led by Legal 500 ‘Elite’ lawyer, Qamer Ghafoor. He has been personally shortlisted for the Managing Partner Forum awards, against competition from multi-billion pound turnover firms across the world. He comments;

“Our lateral hires are a testament to our increased presence and growth across the UK. We are certainly making noise in the market place with our innovative ways of working and the manner in which we work with our clients. I am very much looking forward to the year ahead and recuiting further experts to keep up with our expansion plans into 2017.”
