Flint Bishop will be sponsoring the Network of Entrepreneurs event at the Silk Mill in Derby on the 15th November 2017 for the fourth year running working with the University of Derby.
The Network of Entrepreneurs is part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the world’s largest festival of entrepreneurship which celebrates entrepreneurs and helps them to receive the support they need. Our goal is to bring this event to Derby. This event provides the opportunity for University students, local professionals and academics to engage and network with one another.
Guest speakers include Melanie Grace, Founder of Corporate Angels and The Winning Circle and Mo Suleman, Director of Resources at Derby Museums and Board Director for the Cathedral Quarter BID. They will both be on hand throughout the event to share their knowledge and experiences with the University of Derby students and anyone attending the event who is potentially interested in starting up a new business.
Melanie started Corporate Angel Promotions Ltd, a VIP Hostess and Events Agency, which has assisted major events from the Monaco Yacht Show, international sporting events in Pakistan for Ronaldinho and Ryan Giggs to DAMAC Property events and many more. Melanie has also recently founded The Winning Circle, a network for entrepreneurs to feel supported and empowered.
Mo Suleman recently won the Entrepreneur of the Year award at the East Midlands Chamber Business Awards and since joining Derby Museum, he has catapulted the former council department to an independent, commercially-minded charity.
Bev Crighton, Employer Engagement Lead at the University said;
“We are really looking forward to our Network of Entrepreneurs event during Global Entrepreneurship Week. Melanie Grace and Mo Suleman have inspirational tales to tell, and the beautiful Silk Mill provides a great backdrop for entrepreneurs and students to mix, talk and exchange stories.”
Andrew Cochrane also comments;
“We are delighted to be sponsoring the Network of Entrepreneurs event with Derby University for the fourth year running. Over the years, this event has helped students, local professionals and academics to engage with one another all whilst enjoying the company of our fantastic guest speakers who possess a unique entrepreneurial experience.”
