Alex Reid has several years’ experience in handling contentious and non-contentious employment law matters at both regional and national law firms.
He has extensive knowledge of advising employers of all sizes on matters relating to TUPE, redundancy and restructuring exercises, as well as employment tribunal claims, with a particular focus on complaints of disability discrimination and sexual misconduct.
Alex’s notable work includes advising an organisation on consulting with its employees to introduce performance-related pay for all staff; advising on the implementation of an equal pay audit; and advising on the employment law implications of the merger of several further education institutions.
Alex said: “I am really pleased to be a part of the team at Flint Bishop. This is a great opportunity to play a role in the continued growth and success of the department and the wider firm. The team has made me feel at home straightaway, and I’m excited for the year ahead”.
Louise Easthope, partner and head of Employment law, said: “We are delighted that Alex has joined the team. His broad knowledge and experience will be a real asset for our clients, especially in relation to his experience with commercial work, TUPE support and his regular delivery of training and webinars, which we know are really valued by our clients.
“I am looking forward to working alongside Alex and I am confident he will be an excellent addition to further strengthen our offering as a leading employment practice in the Midlands.”
