RICS Seminar 2018

Flint Bishop’s Andrew Perry, Partner and Head of Construction & Engineering, will deliver a seminar to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) members as part of their continuing professional development on 27 March 2018 at the Orchard Hotel in Nottingham, The University of Nottingham, from 5.40pm till 7.20pm.

This seminar aims to give an understanding of the principles of contract formation and letters of intent with a view to helping companies and their staff engage effectively with the contractual process. Entering into contracts is an everyday occurrence for many companies, whether in the construction industry or otherwise. With a better understanding of the process in which a contract is formed, and drawing attention to certain pitfalls associated with that process, the possibility for uncertainty or disputes arising will be reduced.

The seminar will cover:

  • The key components of a contract
  • Contract formation
  • Letters of intent.

This invite-only seminar offers RICS members a cost-effective way to keep up-to-date and achieve their formal CPD hours. For organisations large and small, these training seminars are an effective way to maximise training budgets and develop highly-skilled staff, bridging the construction industry’s skill gap which could not be of higher importance at this point in time.

Flint Bishop is delighted to have the opportunity to share our expert industry knowledge with RICS members.

Andrew Perry, Partner and Head of Construction & Engineering comments:

“I am delighted to be given this opportunity by the RICS to assist with refreshing their members on contract formation and letters of intent. Entering into standard form or amended contracts and letters of intent is a common feature of working in the construction industry and the focus of the seminar is to highlight the key elements/issues so that RICS members can more confidently discuss and manage this process.”
