The display rule will come in on the 6 April and after that, all newsagents, pubs, clubs and shops will have to stop openly displaying tobacco products as part of the Government’s strategy to reduce the number of smokers.

Smokers will continue to be able to buy their cigarettes and tobacco, the new rules will not limit availability. Those selling tobacco products should seek the advice of their Trading Standards Officer to ensure they are complying with the legislation and covering their display of tobacco.
