Beth Bearder is an approachable employment lawyer who delivers expert employment law and HR advice to international PLCs and SMEs.

Her advice is technically on-point, understandable, straightforward and tailored to help them to achieve their objectives. Her pragmatic and down-to-earth approach provides clients with high-quality and cost-effective employment law support.

She works closely with our Corporate & Finance and Property teams, carrying out employment due diligence such as drafting new service agreements in corporate acquisitions and providing TUPE advice in relation to business transfers.

As well as drafting and negotiating contracts of employment and HR policies, Beth frequently advises on sensitive dismissals and has a particular interest in the management and support of employees who are on long-term sick leave due to mental health illnesses.

She also advises businesses on conducting protected conversations and defending a range of employment tribunal claims. Beth can also advise on drafting post-termination covenants to protect an employer’s business interests.

She regularly supports organisations in redundancy and restructuring programmes, including changing terms of conditions, TUPE transfers and conducting collective consultations. In addition, Beth guides senior executives in relation to their settlement agreements.

Beth completed her Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School.
