Olena is a Senior Associate in our Finance Dispute Resolution team specialising in residential property litigation work. She has significant experience advising lenders on long lease forfeiture matters, having previously acted for landlords and managing agents.
She has handled litigated forfeiture cases ranging from non-payment breaches to more complex breaches of covenant, including unauthorised alterations, breaches of repairing obligations and unlawful subletting. Olena also acts for the firm’s clients in possession claims related to the termination of shared ownership leases.
Olena has advised local authority clients on defending housing disrepair claims, including best practices for internal repair policies, procedures and claim handling. She also has experience dealing with possession claims based on anti-social behaviour, claims against trespassers, injunction applications, and applications to the Property Tribunal.
