Robert Tice

Head of Employment & HR
01332 226 144
After training and practising in the City of London, Rob joined Flint Bishop and was tasked with building up the firm’s employment capability. Rob now leads a team of highly qualified employment lawyers and legal experts, focused on looking after clients that range from PLCs, national employers and SMEs to National and Local Government.

Rob has been recognised by the Legal 500 for his work in the employment field.

Rob recognises the challenges large employers face with employment law, both technically and practically. All too often, advisors tell you what you can’t do rather than what choices you have. Rob’s approach is to provide advice in a constructive, commercial and straight-forward manner. He does not tell his clients what to do – he gives options based on risk to empower them to make the right decision. It is this approach that has led to such positive feedback from his clients and the long-standing relationships he has with them.

Rob and his team advise on all aspects of employment law, including contracts and policies, disciplinary matters, sickness and absence, capability, redundancy/restructuring, unfair dismissal, discrimination, restrictive covenants/restraint of trade, TUPE and Settlement Agreements. They also defend Employment Tribunal claims in the Employment Tribunals and Appeal Courts. In addition, they deliver bespoke training programmes to clients.

How can Rob help?

  • Employment law

  • Redundancy

  • Disciplinary and grievance

  • TUPE

  • Sex, race, disability and age discrimination

  • Severance agreements and restrictive covenants

  • Defend employers in Employment Tribunals

"Rob and his team provide a no nonsense service that is compliant and simple in dealing with difficult situations in a cost effective manner. This has been consistently demonstrated over the past 20 years."

Martin Allsopp, Manager HR Services, British Waterways Marinas Ltd.

“The support and effectiveness have been brilliant and very professional. The response times are same day or if not an automated email lets me know when I can expect a response or offers alternative contacts. To be honest it is probably us that slow the process down as we are not used to such efficient response times and therefore tend to hold the process up in responding back!"
Vanessa Dodes, Education Business Manager,St Joseph's Catholic Primary Education.

“In the short time that we have been with FB Support the service that we have received has been professional, efficient, timely and effective. We have been able to resolve a number of personnel issues that had been outstanding for lengthy periods of time and in some cases years. The solicitor allocated to us and the employment team have always been available both on the phone and to attend meetings. Our solicitor has liaised with the Local Authority on our behalf where there was an overlap of responsibility. This link has also been effective and very timely. I would not hesitate to recommend FB Support.”
