On the 12 June 2016, the Queen will celebrate her 90th birthday.
The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government has issued guidance on organising a street party noting that thousands of street parties took place for the Queen’s diamond jubilee in 2012.
The guidance does mention that if there is a plan to sell alcohol at a party a temporary event notice will be required and you should note this will only cover events of less than 500 people. The guidance also mentions that a Licence would be necessary if there is to be amplified music.
The guidance is particularly keen to stress that the number one tip for holding a street party is to plan early. To access the guidance please follow the link to https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/your-guide-to-organising-a-street-party
