Our Insurance Litigation department have considerable experience in all types of defendant insurance litigation, acting on behalf of insurers, national self-insured companies, government agencies and local authorities.

As part of our firm-wide expansion plans, we are seeking an experienced Defendant Personal Injury Supervisor for our award-winning Insurance Litigation department.

The Defendant Personal Injury Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of a team of fee-earners in our Insurance Litigation team, working on defendant PI matters.

As well as managing the day-to-day functions of the teams, this role will handle an individual caseload of high-level matters.

Reporting directly to the Head of Insurance Litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage an individual caseload of defendant PI matters.
  • Be the main point of contact for clients, attend client meetings/training sessions where required.
  • Contribute to business development activities for the department.
  • Build & maintain MI reports in the relevant case management systems.
  • Collate and present management information and KPI data.
  • Help in setting team targets and fee structures alongside the Head of Insurance Litigation.
  • Ensure financial targets are met, both on a personal and team level.
  • Implement performance structures to ensure individual and team targets are met.
  • Review team SLAs and amend on an ongoing basis as required.
  • Hold regular one-to-ones with team members.
  • Conduct annual Personal Development Plans.
  • Monitor absence within the department and cover additional fee-earning work where necessary.

You will:

  • Ideally, you will have experience in dealing with motor-related personal injury matters.
  • Have a good academic background.
  • Possess exceptional client care skills.
  • Have excellent knowledge of IT systems and processes.
  • Be a team player and able to get on with and lead others.
  • Possess excellent networking and client development skills.
