The Internal Recruiter is responsible for assisting the Senior Recruiter & Head of HR in all aspects of the in-house recruitment process. This includes managing all direct applicants and researching the legal market for passive candidates.

The role takes an active lead in managing the candidate experience from application to induction and onboarding.

Reporting directly to the Head of HR.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside Heads of Department, the Senior Recruiter, and the Head of HR to draft job descriptions for all roles.
  • Liaise with the marketing team to ensure roles are posted on all relevant platforms.
  • Manage applications across various platforms, for example via the Flint Bishop website, LinkedIn and Indeed.
  • Map out various markets/sectors to provide headhunt candidates to the Senior Recruiter & Head of HR.
  • Keep up to date with industry knowledge to assess opportunities re recruitment.
  • Schedule interviews on behalf of managers. Attend interviews where necessary. File all interview notes.
  • Work with select recruitment agents on our preferred supplier list. Review CVs and provide feedback in a timely manner.
  • Process regrets to unsuccessful candidates, providing relevant feedback.
  • Track all applications via Excel.
  • Work with the HR Officer to create induction plans for all new starters. Arrange induction meetings with appropriate members of staff.

You will:

  • Have a strong background in internal recruitment or high-volume agency recruitment.
  • Be able to work to deadlines.
  • Be able to work as part of a team.
  • Possess excellent candidate care.
  • Have strong communication skills at all levels.
  • Have excellent organisation skills.
  • Have a proactive and can-do approach.
  • Be confident in using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office.
