
An exciting opportunity for a software administrator to join our Software Development team.
We are looking for demonstrable coding and software development experience to establish an excellent future career in a top 200 UK law firm with a national presence and the reputation of being a great place to work.
The successful candidate will support our Software Development Manager in implementing and maintaining a new practice management system. This is a full-time permanent position based at the Derby office.
About the role
As part of this role, you would:
- Help with database management
- Create and maintain libraries of legal templates and forms
- Create and maintain business process workflows on the firms PMS and CMS software
- Assist and train users on how to use internal software systems
- Troubleshoot problems
- Write and maintain reports using MS SQL reporting services
- Document systems and procedures
You will:
- Have knowledge of the MS SQL query language
- Have advanced MS Excel skills
- Have advanced MS Word skills
- Have experience in using report writing software such as MS SQL Reporting Services or Crystal Reports
- Have experience working with and maintaining computer software systems to design interfaces, create computerised workflows and develop documents and templates
- Have experience in maintaining legal CMS or PMS software, or in maintaining business process and management software such as Appian, TaskCentre, or SAP
- Be able to work as a part of a team
- Be able to follow instructions
- Have a meticulous eye for detail
- Be excellent at problem solving
- Have experience in training users on software
- Have basic coding experience (e.g. VisualBasic, Python, Powershell)
- Have experience in MS SQL DB Admin usage
- Have a knowledge of how legal accounts work
- Have a good knowledge of Windows 7 to 10 desktop operating systems
- Be presentable and trustworthy
- Have good verbal and written communication skills
- Have an enthusiastic ‘can-do’ attitude
- Have a full UK driving licence
