Iga Szalbierz joined Flint Bishop in October 2024 as a Trainee Paralegal and was promoted to Paralegal in May 2025. She began her Training Contract in October 2025 and is currently developing her expertise across a range of contentious practice areas.

Iga completed her LLB (Hons) Law degree at Newcastle University before progressing to an LLM in Legal Practice at The University of Law, graduating in October 2024. She brings a strong academic foundation alongside a clear enthusiasm for building a career in litigation and dispute resolution.

Iga began her legal career in the firm’s Debt Services team, where she developed key litigation skills and a solid grounding in contentious work. This experience formed the basis of her first training seat, allowing her to further expand her knowledge and practical experience in litigation.

She is currently undertaking her second seat in Repossession Conveyancing. In this role, she is gaining experience in property transactions including sales and remortgages, as well as handling post-completion matters such as applications to pay surplus funds into court. This seat builds on her prior litigation experience while broadening her commercial and technical skill set.

Alongside her legal work, Iga is actively involved in the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. She has worked closely with Flint Bishop’s chosen charity, Candlelighters, helping to organise and participate in fundraising activities such as the Leeds 10K and a firm-wide Walking Challenge, as well as supporting the continued development of the firm’s relationship with the charity.
