Jessica Bennett is an Associate in our Dispute Management team, based in Leeds, specialising in commercial litigation and dispute resolution.

She advises businesses and individuals on a broad range of contentious matters, delivering clear, commercially focused guidance aligned with each client’s strategic and financial objectives.

Recognised for her strong commercial acumen and pragmatic approach, Jessica is known for resolving complex commercial disputes efficiently and with a focus on outcomes. She manages her own varied caseload of commercial litigation matters while also supporting senior colleagues on higher-value and more complex disputes. Her work spans all stages of the dispute lifecycle, from early strategy and negotiation through to alternative dispute resolution and formal court proceedings.

Jessica takes time to understand the commercial realities behind each dispute, allowing her to develop practical, risk-aware strategies that protect client interests and support long-term business goals. Her approach is measured, responsive, and focused on achieving resolution in a cost-effective and timely manner.

Jessica has built a strong and well-rounded background in commercial litigation through roles in both private practice and in-house legal teams, giving her a valuable understanding of the pressures faced by commercial organisations.

She has extensive experience advising on a wide range of commercial disputes, including contractual disputes, shareholder and corporate disputes, agency disputes, construction disputes, professional negligence claims, defamation claims, commercial property disputes, and debt recovery. This breadth of experience allows her to adapt quickly to different sectors and dispute types, providing consistent, high-quality advice across complex litigation matters.

Throughout her career, Jessica has managed litigated cases from initial instruction through to resolution, taking responsibility for case strategy, procedural compliance, and client communication at every stage. She has also played a key role in supporting senior lawyers on complex and high-value disputes, including assisting with trial preparation and advocacy.

Before joining Flint Bishop, Jessica held senior positions within regional law firms, including as a Senior Litigation Solicitor, where she handled a significant and varied caseload. Earlier in her career, she worked in-house as a Group Company Solicitor within the energy sector, advising on commercial contracts and contentious issues. This in-house experience strengthens her ability to provide commercially grounded advice that reflects the operational realities of her clients’ businesses.
