Peter Turk, Senior Associate in Flint Bishop’s Corporate team in Sheffield

Peter Turk is a Senior Associate in our Corporate team, based in Sheffield.

Peter specialises in a broad range of corporate matters, including domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, shareholder and joint venture agreements, employee ownership trusts and corporate reorganisations.

He advises clients ranging from owner-managed businesses to large multinationals, with particular experience across the engineering, manufacturing and technology sectors.

Peter takes a commercially focused and pragmatic approach, working closely with clients to understand their objectives and guide them through complex transactions from initial discussions and negotiation through to completion. His experience working with businesses of different sizes and ownership structures enables him to anticipate potential issues, provide clear advice and maintain momentum throughout a transaction.

Before joining Flint Bishop, Peter held corporate roles at Knights, Keebles and Irwin Mitchell, developing extensive experience advising businesses, shareholders and investors on a wide range of corporate transactions.

Notable transactions include:

  • Advising on the eight-figure sale of Yorkshire car parts and accessories retailer BullsEye Superfactors Ltd to an employee ownership trust, financed by NatWest.
  • Supporting the £120m sale of Sheffield-based Clear Line, a specialist full-service façade remediation and cladding contractor, to a listed Swedish business.
  • Advising a leading international business in the optical sector on the acquisition of a UK buying group.

Alongside his M&A experience, Peter has advised on private equity transactions, employee ownership trusts, shareholder and joint venture arrangements, and corporate reorganisations. He has also provided corporate support on property transactions, including group reorganisations and property demergers undertaken in anticipation of a future sale.

Peter’s breadth of transactional experience enables him to support businesses, shareholders and investors through complex and strategically important transactions, while maintaining a clear focus on achieving their wider commercial objectives.
