Raza Zahir is a Solicitor in Flint Bishop’s Insurance Litigation team, specialising in fraud, credit hire and wider defendant insurance disputes.
He advises insurers and corporate clients on a range of contentious matters, providing clear, commercially focused guidance from initial instruction through to resolution.
Raza is a resilient and adaptable litigator with a strong foundation across insurance litigation, commercial disputes and enforcement work. He is known for his proactive approach to case management, his attention to detail and his ability to navigate complex, high-volume litigation efficiently. Having qualified in 2026 following his training contract with the firm, Raza combines technical legal knowledge with a practical understanding of commercial risk and strategy.

Raza has developed significant experience in Insurance Litigation, with a particular focus on fraud and credit hire disputes.
He has managed a wide range of claims involving staged accidents, low-impact collisions and non-collision allegations, handling matters from inception through to settlement or trial where required. His work includes evidence review, liability assessment, negotiation and litigation strategy, with a focus on achieving cost-effective outcomes for clients.
Alongside his core insurance practice, Raza has gained broader experience across Commercial Dispute Resolution, Enforcement, Property Conveyancing Law, and Commercial Contracts and Data Protection. This multi-disciplinary background enables him to approach disputes with a strong understanding of both procedural litigation and underlying commercial drivers.
A key part of Raza’s experience includes his leadership of a default judgment and enforcement project within the Recoveries team. In this role, he worked closely with enforcement agencies and third-party insurers to improve recovery processes, identify high-probability enforcement opportunities and enhance compliance with court deadlines and SLAs, contributing to improved recovery outcomes for clients.
Raza has also worked with the Insurance Defendant and Large Loss teams, gaining valuable insight into complex defendant litigation strategy, risk assessment and case valuation. In addition, he has contributed to internal knowledge sharing through research and case reviews in commercial and contractual matters, supporting continuous improvement across the team.
He is experienced in negotiating Credit Hire disputes and has successfully resolved a number of matters prior to trial, helping to reduce exposure and deliver efficient outcomes for clients.
