Simon joined Flint Bishop in June 2024 as a Partner in our Commercial Property team, having previously worked in-house at Henry Boot PLC where he served as the Head of Legal.

During the 8 years at Henry Boot, Simon progressed from Group Property Solicitor to Head of Legal. He was ultimately responsible for the day-to-day operational legal functions of Henry Boot PLC and all subsidiary group companies. This included the leadership and management of the in-house legal team, alongside the appointment and management of external lawyers, with the Group’s external legal spend being approximately £4m per annum.

Simon was also a key member of the PLC management team where he led various group-wide projects, delivering efficiency and change across the business.

Simon rejoins Flint Bishop having previously been an integral part of our Commercial Property team from 2007 to 2016.

During his previous tenure with the firm, he managed a large and varied caseload that included a broad mix of high-value commercial property work, from complex landlord and tenant matters to the acquisition, disposal, and set-up of freehold and leasehold commercial and residential development sites.
