Tavinder Lyal is a Solicitor in our Finance Dispute Resolution (FDR) team, based in our Leeds office.

She specialises in contentious financial matters, providing strategic, commercially focused advice to clients across a wide range of sectors. Tavinder supports clients through all stages of dispute resolution, from pre-action correspondence and negotiation to full court proceedings.

She is highly skilled at interpreting complex legal issues, managing caseloads efficiently, and delivering clear, practical advice that helps clients make informed decisions. Known for her analytical approach and strong attention to detail, Tavinder also brings a collaborative mindset, ensuring seamless communication with colleagues and clients alike.

Tavinder completed her training contract with LCF Law, where she developed a strong foundation in commercial litigation and dispute resolution.

During this time, she gained hands-on experience supporting a variety of contentious matters, including contractual disputes and financial litigation. She has managed cases from pre-action through to hearings, preparing detailed legal documentation, court bundles, and instructions to counsel, while maintaining rigorous procedural compliance.

Her background in paralegal and training contract roles provided Tavinder with a broad understanding of client care, file management, and collaborative teamwork, making her adept at delivering high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.

In previous roles, she was actively involved in business development initiatives, contributing to client relationship management and helping to grow the firm’s presence in the market. In her current role, Tavinder continues to apply her expertise to support complex financial disputes, working closely with clients to achieve effective, commercially focused resolutions.
