Charlotte Dugdale-Tonks is a Senior Associate in Flint Bishop’s Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts team, based in our York office.

With over 18 years’ specialist experience in private client law, Charlotte advises high-net-worth individuals and families on succession planning, estate administration and tax-efficient asset structuring. She is known for delivering clear, pragmatic advice tailored to each client’s personal and financial circumstances.

Charlotte works closely with clients to ensure their wishes are accurately and effectively reflected, providing reassurance and clarity on often sensitive and complex matters. She combines deep technical expertise with commercial awareness and a personable, client-focused approach.

Charlotte’s technical expertise covers the full spectrum of high-level private client matters, including succession planning, complex estate administration, tax-efficient structuring, asset protection, and the preparation of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), trusts, and associated documentation.

She regularly advises on multi-million-pound estates involving business assets and intergenerational wealth planning, guiding clients through sensitive family circumstances with care.

Charlotte also has extensive experience registering trusts with HM Revenue & Customs’ Trust Registration Service and ensuring estates are administered efficiently and in accordance with current legislation and best practice.

Before joining Flint Bishop, Charlotte worked within a Tier 1 Legal 500 Private Client team at national law firm Irwin Mitchell. Earlier in her career, she founded and ran her own private client practice, Legacy Wills, building long-standing relationships with clients and professional advisers across York, Harrogate and Manchester.
