Jo Milward advises on all aspects of property litigation.

Jo acts for landlords of both commercial and residential property, advising on areas such as lease forfeiture, obtaining possession of property, contractual disputes and recovery of arrears, as well as non-contentious estate management work such as subletting, new leases, assignments and surrenders for landlords and tenants.

She also deals with injunctions in the High Court to prevent breaches of lease covenants by tenants and has a 100% success rate of securing injunctions and recovering associated costs for our clients.

Her personable, professional and practical approach sets clients at ease and she is often praised for her commercial awareness and objectives-based approach, together with the ability to steer through challenging situations.

Jo provides excellent advice to clients on a commercial and cost-effective basis, keeping in mind their business goals and objectives. Jo also provides advice and training to enhance the performance of clients’ own staff, increasing efficiency and knowledge of their business and reducing the need for legal action.

Having successfully managed the tenanted estate work for a large pub company for several years, Jo particularly specialises in acting for licensed trade clients, including obtaining possession, tenant insolvency and debt collection. She provides clients in this sector with a full landlord and tenant management solution.

Jo has significantly climbed the ranks in the firm, having initially completed her legal training whilst working with the firm.

She joined as a member of our administration team and went on to complete her paralegal training with the National Association of Licensed Paralegals and her fellowship with the Institute of Chartered Legal Executives.

She has been recognised by the press and subsequent clients for the quality of her insight articles, toolkits, seminars and training workshops.
