With more than 30 years of experience, Paul advises on all aspects of corporate transactional work, including acquisitions, disposals, mergers, management buyouts (MBOs), management buy-ins (MBIs) and corporate restructurings.

He has particular expertise in employee ownership trust (EOT) transactions and has advised numerous businesses on transitioning to employee ownership as part of their long-term succession and growth plans.

He also advises companies, private equity houses and venture capital investors on investment transactions, bringing valuable insight into the commercial and strategic considerations that underpin successful deals. His experience spans a wide range of sectors, with particular knowledge of manufacturing and engineering businesses and the opportunities and challenges they face in evolving markets.

Paul acts for clients ranging from owner-managed businesses and sector specialists to larger corporates with turnovers exceeding £100 million. Recent highlights include advising the shareholders of Clear Line Holdings Limited on its £120 million sale to Fasadgruppen Group AB Publ, supporting Bullseye Superfactors Limited in its transition to employee ownership through the establishment of an employee ownership trust, and advising on the sale of Natural Instinct Limited to The Nutriment Company Holding Limited.
