If there are suspected breaches of the Health & Safety at Work Act or the supplementary regulations and legislation, then you may be interviewed under caution by the HSE.

HSE improvement and prohibition notice

In some cases where there are alleged contraventions and breaches of the legislation the HSE will issue an Improvement Notice requiring the breach to be remedied within a certain period.

Prohibition Notices can also be served and these can restrict certain activities from being carried out until the issues identified are resolved.
