Flint Bishop’s partner and head of Corporate & Finance, Martyn Brierley, advised American sports and entertainment firm, General Sports Worldwide (GSW), on their multi-million-pound acquisition of media and sports management experts, 366 Group.

Established in 1998 by Andy Appleby, GSW uses sport and entertainment to help clients build relationships with their customers, employees and the community.

Having previously worked closely with 366 Group’s CEO, Sam Rush, at Derby County between 2012 and 2015, Andy was immediately interested when the opportunity to acquire 366 Group arose.

The acquisition will provide 366 Group with access to the global partnerships already established by GSW and enable them to provide a platform for the people who work there to perform at the highest possible level.

Commenting on the deal, Martyn Brierley said:

“I’m delighted to have advised General Sports Worldwide on its acquisition of 366 Group. It was great to have worked alongside Fletcher and Nick Millward at BDO, to bring this transaction to a successful conclusion. I wish Andrew, Sam, Nick and all at 366 Group, a very successful and prosperous future.”

Chairman of General Sports & Entertainment Andy Appleby added:

“Martyn Brierley and the Flint Bishop team were excellent to work with throughout the process. Very professional and always kept the process moving well.”
