The Derby Telegraph Business Awards are designed to celebrate Derbyshire’s leading-edge and rapid-growth enterprises and are aimed at small, medium-sized and large businesses across the county.
As part of our support for the Awards, we sponsored the Excellence in Manufacturing Award, which was won by Bowers Electrical.
Judging for the Derby Telegraph Business Awards is based on rigorous research, including meeting criteria showing how the business has upheld Derby’s traditions in manufacturing, helping to bring innovation and sustainability to the region.
Andrew Cochrane commented on our involvement in the awards:
“We jumped at the chance of sponsoring this particular award as manufacturing plays a vital role in the Derbyshire business community. Choosing a winner from the entries was incredibly hard, but Bowers Electricals really impressed us across all the judging categories; in particular their ability to maintain a consistent level of turnover despite significant investments in innovation and new product development. This is even more impressive when you consider the number of UK manufacturers that have reduced in size or disappeared altogether.”
