We are pleased to welcome Mary Premkumar, who has joined Flint Bishop as a Solicitor in our Finance Dispute Resolution team, based in Leeds.

Mary joins the firm from TLT LLP, where she trained within the Financial Services Disputes, Banking Litigation and Commercial Recoveries teams. During her training contract, she managed her own caseload of possession, receivership and debt recovery claims while advising on a broad range of contentious financial services matters.

Working closely with clients, counsel and other stakeholders, Mary developed experience progressing cases and delivering commercially focused outcomes across a variety of financial disputes.

Prior to qualifying as a Solicitor, Mary spent almost four years as a Paralegal within TLT’s Financial Services Disputes and Investigations team, where she managed a substantial caseload of banking litigation and pre-action matters.

Her experience includes preparing matters for disclosure, drafting defences and costs documents, negotiating settlements and supporting complex recoveries work. This has given Mary a strong foundation across secured and unsecured debt recovery, residential possession proceedings and financial services litigation.

Mary’s experience aligns closely with the work undertaken by our Finance Dispute Resolution team and adds further technical capability as we continue to develop our financial services offering.

Her appointment also strengthens the specialist legal expertise available from our growing Leeds office, supporting the continued expansion of our services for clients across the financial services sector.

We are pleased to welcome Mary to Flint Bishop and look forward to seeing her continue to develop her career within our Finance Dispute Resolution team.
