We are pleased to announce that Jake Bland has qualified as a Solicitor and joined our Insurance Litigation team, following the successful completion of his training contract.

Jake’s career with Flint Bishop began in April 2021, when he joined the firm as a Legal Assistant within our Claimant Personal Injury team. Since then, he has continued to develop his technical expertise and take on increasing levels of responsibility.

In June 2022, Jake was promoted to OIC Claimant Personal Injury Team Leader, where he led a team of case handlers responsible for managing approximately 1,500 cases and around 200 new referrals each month.

Alongside his leadership responsibilities, Jake continued to develop his own technical experience, successfully handling and settling a significant number of claims while taking responsibility for higher-value matters within the Ministry of Justice Portal. His client-focused approach, technical ability and commitment made a valuable contribution to both the team and wider firm.

Jake commenced his training contract in 2024, completing seats across both Claimant Personal Injury and Defendant Personal Injury. This provided him with experience across different areas of personal injury litigation and enabled him to further develop the skills and knowledge that have supported his qualification.

As a member of the second cohort of the Flint Bishop Law Academy, Jake’s progression from Legal Assistant to Team Leader, Trainee Solicitor and now qualified Solicitor demonstrates the development opportunities available to those building their legal careers with the firm.

Following his qualification, Jake will continue his career with Flint Bishop as a Solicitor within our Insurance Litigation team, building on the experience he has developed since joining the firm.

His qualification represents another important milestone for both Jake and the Flint Bishop Law Academy, and we look forward to seeing him continue to develop his career as part of our Insurance Litigation team.
