We continue to go from strength to strength across all teams. Not only do we boast large national household named clients, but we have also continued to be recognised for our work and commitment through obtaining numerous national awards.

During the first quarter of 2016, we have welcomed the promotion of two new associates, Martyn Brierley and Lucy Carter, to become partners of the firm.

Having joined the business in 2005 and completed his training contract with us, Martyn Brierley is now Partner and Head of Corporate & Finance. Martyn has been working on some of the largest corporate deals in the region and boasts a strong reputation within corporate law. He is a sought-after solicitor and can advise on mergers, acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, finance transactions etc.

The second addition to the partnership is Notary Public, Lucy Carter. She joined our Property team from local firm JH Powell. Lucy is one of only a handful of Notaries Public in Derbyshire, with only 900 throughout England and Wales, which now ables us to offer support for authenticating and certifying signatures for documents abroad, such as overseas powers of attorney, purchase or sale and land and property.

Andrew Cochrane comments on the promotions:

“I have great delight in welcoming two new additions to the partnership at Flint Bishop. Martyn has been in the business for many years and is an outstanding corporate lawyer. He is leading a strong team and I have no doubt he will continue to build on the success of the team over the coming years. Lucy joins us from a local law firm and is a fantastic addition to our Property team. Lucy is one of only a few Notaries Public throughout the region and this service offering will enable overseas transactions to occur, with Lucy’s support.”
