The CICM, Europe’s largest credit association, is the centre of expertise for credit management and promotes excellence and best-practice achievement. The CICM British Credit Awards rewards best performance and innovation shown by individuals and organisations across the UK.

The shortlist nominations for ‘Legal Team of the Year’ and ‘Third Party Debt Collection Team of the Year’ are representative of the outstanding teamwork and efficiencies provided by Flint Bishop’s Commercial Debt Recovery department. The debt recovery function at the multi-million top 200 law firm has continued to excel, increasing in size and is now the debt recovery partner for a number of leading UK brands across a number of industries, as well as some government agencies.

FB Collections Ltd, a partner firm of Flint Bishop, has also been shortlisted for the ‘Project of the Year’ award. This new company was strategically set-up to broaden the firm’s overall B2B legal recovery offering by providing ‘white labelled’ outsourced early collections at a stage prior to debt recovery and legal action.

FB Collections has seen rapid growth as a result of business acquired through positive benchmarking against both internal collection teams and other outsourced solution. In the first year of trading, this sub-brand of Flint Bishop has successfully managed the collection of over £36m referred from one particular client in the telecoms industry.

Qamer Ghafoor comments;

“To be shortlisted in three categories at two subsequent national debt recovery awards is a fantastic achievement and is evident of the level of service and efficiencies our team provides to all our clients on a daily basis.

We have the systems, speed, flexible pricing and capability to rival any debt collection agency or law firm in the industry. Flint Bishop is now in a position to celebrate continual debt recovery success and excellence as one of the premier firms in the country.”

The award ceremony will take place on Thursday 08 February 2018 at The Royal Lancaster London Hotel. Watch Highlights from the 2017 CICM Awards.
