Qamer joined Flint Bishop in January 2003. His drive and determination fast-tracked him to Partner status in 2005, Head of Commercial Litigation in 2008, Managing Partner of Commercial Services in 2015 and then Chief Executive in 2018.
As Chief Executive, Qamer quickly established a new Management Board which is helping to shape the future of Flint Bishop through innovation, with the overall aim to improve legal services nationally.
Qamer has been instrumental in putting in place recent strategies resulting in unrivalled business performance and substantial growth in revenue and profits in a number of departments.
Qamer manages the firm’s Debt Recovery and Dispute Resolution teams and is the lead partner for some of the firm’s largest clients, including LexisNexis, UK Mail, Autoglass and Haven Insurance Company.
Qamer is very ‘hands-on’ in terms of his management skills in the running of both the firm and getting involved with litigation cases.
Specialising in all types of commercial dispute resolution, Qamer has built up a national reputation in heavyweight and technical commercial litigation and insurance-related claims with associated recoveries.
He has a wealth of experience in complex commercial litigation claims, with a particular interest in Chancery, property litigation (for landlords, tenants & property developers), banking litigation and professional negligence claims.
In addition, he has developed a niche in the waste management sector, advising on high-value, worldwide cross-border supply disputes.
Qamer has appeared in a number of widely reported cases and successfully acted for National Insurance and Guarantee Corporation Ltd (reported Lloyd’s Law Report 46).
Qamer is highly-acclaimed for his debt recovery and dispute resolution work, having been recognised as a Recommended Lawyer annually since 2007 by The Legal 500, an international guide to the best lawyers. The Legal 500 describes Qamer as an “A-star litigator with a case-handling mentality which is equal to city firms.”
Qamer is one of just a handful of solicitors in the East Midlands to be listed as a ‘Leading Individual’ in The Legal 500 and one of only two elite lawyers to be listed in their ‘Hall of Fame’ for commercial litigation.
Chambers and Partners recognise Qamer as a ‘Leader in their Field’.
He is a member of Professional Negligence Lawyers Association and the Property Litigation Association and he managed his Commercial Litigation team to a Legal 500 top-tier ranking.
