We are pleased to announce that Flint Bishop has been named a Champ’s Champion by children’s cancer charity Candlelighters, following the success of our recent fundraising campaign.
Raising £2,125 as part of our FB Big Fundraiser, our support qualifies Flint Bishop for Candlelighters’ Champ’s Champions business club – a network of organisations committed to raising at least £2,000 annually to help children with cancer and their families.
The cheque was formally handed over by members of our team to Candlelighters’ Partnerships Executive, Iain Blackwood Hobbs, outside the charity’s Leeds office.
This level of support can fund critical services such as talking therapy sessions for patients and their siblings, helping them manage the emotional and psychological effects of treatment.
Candlelighters provides vital emotional, practical and financial support for children facing cancer and their families across Yorkshire, both during treatment and beyond. The impact of this support is clear from stories like that of Evie, whose mother shared:
“It’s only in recent months we’ve started to see the effects Evie’s journey has had on her mental health… The support we receive from Candlelighters is amazing and we are so grateful.”
We are proud to be included among Candlelighters’ Champ’s Champions and to stand alongside businesses who are making a meaningful difference in their communities.
Our fundraising efforts don’t stop here. We’re continuing to support Candlelighters with our Leeds-based team taking part in the Leeds 10k later this year to raise even more for this incredible cause.
