Flint Bishop is delighted to announce the promotion of George Domleo to Partner & Head of Licensing, effective 1 May 2026.

George joined the firm in 2017 as a Solicitor within the Licensing team and has progressed rapidly through the department, being promoted to Associate in 2020, Senior Associate in 2021, and Acting Head of Licensing in August 2025.

His promotion reflects both his exceptional technical expertise and his significant contribution to the continued growth of the team and wider firm. Over the years, George has built a strong reputation for delivering commercially focused licensing advice and developing long-standing client relationships across a broad range of sectors.

Working exclusively in licensing law, George advises a number of major national organisations with his work spanning across the UK, including managing licensing matters for national clients with extensive Scottish portfolios.

Alongside his client work, George plays an active role in business development and cross-department collaboration across the firm. He has also been instrumental in developing new client-focused initiatives, including the creation of an innovative licensing app designed to enhance service delivery and client accessibility.

George’s expertise continues to be recognised externally by Legal 500, where he has been named a Recommended Lawyer, Rising Star, and more recently, a Leading Associate in both 2025 and 2026. He has also become a recognised voice within the sector, speaking at leading industry events including the Licensing National Training Conference and the National Police Chiefs’ Council Police Licensing Conference.

Commenting on the promotion, Qamer Ghafoor, Chief Executive, said:

“George’s promotion is thoroughly deserved and reflects the exceptional commitment, expertise, and leadership he has demonstrated throughout his career at Flint Bishop. He has played a key role in the continued growth and success of our Licensing team, while consistently delivering outstanding results and service for clients. “I am incredibly proud to have been promoted to Partner & Head of Licensing at Flint Bishop. Having joined the firm in 2017, it has been rewarding to grow alongside such a talented and ambitious team. I look forward to continuing to support our clients, developing the department further, and building on the strong foundations already in place.”
