The British & Irish Lions will soon embark on their tour to Australia, which will feature three Test Matches against the Wallabies and six Pre-Test Matches. It will be the first time in eight years that travelling fans will be able to see The Lions in action.
The tour of Australia begins on Saturday 28 June and it will last five weeks before coming to an end on Saturday 02 August. With matches scheduled to get started at 11:00 AM UK time.
If you wish for your venue to open and trade earlier than your Premises Licence permits to broadcast the matches and invite fans through your doors, then you could use Temporary Event Notices (TENs) as one-off permissions. TENs are subject to certain conditions and timescales, so we set out below the fixtures and the deadlines for when TENs must be lodged.

When using standard TENs, you need to ensure that you lodge the notice at least 10 working days before the event with the date of the event and the date of submission not counting. If you are lodging a late TEN, then this needs to be lodged 5 working days before the event but be aware if you receive an objection to a late TEN there is no appeal process.
If you are to use TENs to trade earlier, then it is also worth checking your Premises Licence conditions to see if you need to disapply any conditions as part of the TEN.
