We are delighted to announce that Harriet Sowray has qualified as a Solicitor into the firm’s Wills, Probate, Tax & Trust department in Leeds, effective from 03 April 2026.

Harriet joined Flint Bishop in September 2025, having begun her legal career with Lupton Fawcett in June 2023 as a Legal Assistant within the Private Client team before commencing her training contract in April 2024.

During her training contract, Harriet gained experience across a broad range of legal disciplines, completing seats in Private Client, Dispute Resolution, Insolvency, Employment, and Family law. This varied experience has provided her with a strong foundation across both contentious and non-contentious matters, alongside valuable insight into supporting clients through often complex and sensitive legal issues.

Her time within the Insolvency team, in particular, enabled her to further develop key legal and commercial skills, including drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, instructing counsel, engaging directly with clients, and attending court proceedings.

Now qualifying into the Wills, Probate, Tax & Trust department, Harriet will work closely with individuals and families on a range of private client matters, supporting clients with clear, practical and compassionate legal advice.

Throughout her training contract, Harriet has demonstrated excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a highly organised and proactive approach. She is recognised by colleagues for her positive attitude, professionalism, and commitment to continuous learning and development.

Alongside her legal career, Harriet remains actively involved in professional networking and development initiatives through memberships with the Leeds Junior Lawyers Division and The After Work Club.
