At the CICM awards, which took place on Wednesday 10 February 2016, we won one award and were highly-commended for another.
Our Debt Recovery team won the ‘Third Party Debt Collection Team of the Year’ award, then were highly-commended in ‘Legal Team of the Year’ for their contribution in credit management.
This award win means that, as Derby’s largest independent law firm, we have won at all three nationally-recognised award ceremonies; the CICM, Credit Today and the Credit Collection and Risk awards.
Our Debt Recovery team goes from strength to strength, securing partnerships with major clients such as Autoglass and Costcutter. Not only have they been nominated for nine highly-regarded awards in the last 12 months, but they are also acting on new markets within unregulated business-to-business sectors, which historically have been dominated by debt collection agencies.
The team is led by one of only a handful of elite lawyers in the region and owner of the firm, Qamer Ghafoor, who comments on the award win:
“The CICM is amongst one of the most prestigious and largest associations that is specifically for the credit industry, so we are delighted to be presented with an award and commended for another. We have had an extremely successful year continue to increase both in workload and workforce, recruiting in almost all areas of the business.”
