Angela joined Flint Bishop in September 2025 as Partner and Head of Employment based in our Leeds office.

With over 20 years of experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment law issues, she works closely with senior leaders and HR professionals to provide clear, commercially minded advice.

Angela is valued for her personable yet pragmatic approach, ensuring HR challenges are managed calmly, efficiently, and effectively. She also has extensive experience advising and representing senior executives on recruitment, termination, and related employment issues.

Angela’s practice covers complex HR investigations, discrimination, unfair and wrongful dismissal, as well as representation in Employment Tribunal proceedings.

She acts for a wide range of clients, including household names in the hospitality, housebuilding, logistics, care, and scientific sectors, advising large PLCs, owner-managed businesses, charities, and not-for-profit organisations. Her practical, no-nonsense style ensures advice is always tailored to each client’s circumstances and risk profile.

Alongside her employment work, Angela serves as Deputy Registrar for the Leeds Diocese and is a member of the Ecclesiastical Law Association and the Ecclesiastical Law Society. In this capacity, she supports the Registrar in advising the Bishop of Leeds, the Diocesan Board of Finance, parishes, and churches on a wide variety of ecclesiastical and employment law matters. She also advises PCCs, church school leaders, and trustees of religious organisations.

Known for her down-to-earth and approachable style, Angela combines empathy, understanding, and robustness to deliver advice that helps our clients navigate even the most challenging situations with confidence.
