Daniel John Haslam is a Solicitor in our Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts team, based in Sheffield.

He advises individuals and families on a broad range of private client matters, providing clear, practical and compassionate guidance across often sensitive and life-changing issues.

He manages a busy and varied caseload covering wills, probate and estate administration, inheritance tax matters, trusts, and related property and title work. Daniel is trusted by clients for his calm, methodical approach and ability to explain complex legal processes in a straightforward and reassuring way.

Working closely with clients on a daily basis, Daniel supports them through each stage of the legal process, from initial instruction through to completion, ensuring matters are handled efficiently, accurately and with care. He also supports colleagues within the team on more complex estate and trust matters, contributing to a consistently high standard of client service across the department.

Daniel qualified as a Solicitor in August 2022 after progressing through paralegal and trainee roles at Gladstone Solicitors in Nottingham, before joining Flint Bishop in May 2026.

He has experience across the full range of wills and probate work, including drafting wills (including those involving trusts), preparing and registering lasting powers of attorney, and advising on estate administration. He regularly deals with probate applications and inheritance tax returns, including IHT400 submissions, and supports the full administration of estates from start to finish.

His experience also includes property-related aspects of estate work, such as severance of joint tenancies, removal of deceased proprietors from title, and dealing with Land Registry applications including restrictions and amendments.

Earlier in his career, Daniel gained in-house legal experience at Vision Express supporting commercial contract administration and corporate filings, alongside a placement in family law at Bhatia Best Solicitors, where he assisted with court preparation, client meetings and legal aid work.
