David joined Flint Bishop in September 2025 as a Partner in our Business Recovery & Insolvency team.

He advises a wide range of stakeholders, including insolvency practitioners, directors, shareholders, lenders, and creditors, and has encountered almost every scenario involving distressed or insolvent UK-based businesses.

David is known for his pragmatic, commercial, and strategic approach, combining deep technical expertise with innovative solutions. He works closely with clients to understand their priorities and objectives, providing clear guidance on their legal position and options while helping them achieve the best possible outcomes.

Over his 35 year’s experience in UK corporate and personal insolvency and restructuring, David has developed particular expertise in advising financially distressed businesses, corporate restructuring, and defendant director disqualification matters.

He regularly acts on all types of formal insolvency assignments, providing strategic support for complex corporate and personal insolvency cases.

A licensed insolvency practitioner, David is an affiliate member of the ICAEW and a longstanding member of R3 (the Association of Business Recovery Professionals). He has been involved in numerous high-profile and complex corporate insolvencies across sectors including legal, charities, healthcare, retail, property, hospitality, construction, manufacturing, and engineering.
