Ellen started her career at Dibb Lupton Broomhead (now DLA) in 1997. Ellen joined Walker Morris in 2013 as a Director in its Property Finance Litigation Team; and moved with the Recoveries Department and the associated non-standard/complex matters to Flint Bishop in September 2024.

Ellen specialises in financial service disputes, particularly those relating to secured lending. Her specialisms are complex repossessions; complex mortgage frauds; complex title defect claims – often involving claims to the first-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber); professional negligence claims against valuers, solicitors, and accountants; claims against lenders and has several leading reported cases in these areas. Ellen has also experience in dealing with judicial review matters.

Ellen is known for her clear, concise advice that is underpinned by her pragmatic and commercial approach. Ellen is known as a “go to lawyer” for complex repossession matters and is listed in the current Legal 500 as focusing on secured lending litigation.
