Emma, Associate in our Family team based in Leeds, supports clients across the full range of family law matters.

She advises on divorce and civil partnership dissolution, financial disputes, children matters, cohabitation disputes and cases involving domestic abuse, as well as planning for the future through Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements, Cohabitation Agreements, Separation Agreements and Declarations of Trust.

Known for her approachable and supportive manner, Emma provides clear, practical advice and confidently represents clients in often highly sensitive and challenging situations.

Emma completed her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Leeds in 2015 before joining Lupton Fawcett LLP in 2016. She went on to complete her Legal Practice Course and Master of Laws at the University of Law in 2019, qualifying as a solicitor specialising in family law in 2021. She joined Flint Bishop in September 2025.

Her expertise spans divorce and dissolution proceedings, including jurisdictional issues and complex financial disputes often involving high-net-worth clients. She has acted extensively in private children law cases, including applications to make, vary and enforce Child Arrangements Orders, Specific Issue Orders and Prohibited Steps Orders, as well as cases involving internal and international relocation and child abduction. Emma also advises on Special Guardianship Orders and adoption matters.

She is highly experienced in cohabitation and property disputes, Trust of Land claims, Schedule 1 Children Act claims, and protective injunctions such as Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders in domestic abuse cases. She also drafts and advises on Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements, Cohabitation Agreements, Separation Agreements and Declarations of Trust.

Emma regularly conducts her own advocacy, providing clients with continuity of representation across a wide range of hearings. She is a member of Resolution, reflecting her commitment to resolving family issues constructively.
