Richard is an experienced solicitor in the Family and Matrimonial team, mediator, and collaborative lawyer.

He specialises in divorce, financial matters, nuptial agreements, cohabitation disputes, and children matters. Known for his constructive and client-focused approach, Richard helps clients resolve disputes without court where possible, while providing expert advocacy when proceedings are necessary.

Richard is also a trained Hybrid Mediator and Early Neutral Evaluator, offering both in-person and online mediation to support clients through family disputes with clarity and confidence.

Richard joined Flint Bishop in September 2025, having previously built a strong reputation as a family lawyer.

He is a member of Resolution and the South Yorkshire Resolution Committee, delivering training and social events for the local family law community. Richard has previously been shortlisted for Lawyer of the Year 2025 at the Yorkshire Legal Awards, reflecting his expertise and commitment to client care.

In addition to his solicitor work, he regularly acts as a mediator, inviting solicitors to support their clients in mediation sessions, and provides early neutral evaluation to facilitate constructive dispute resolution.
