Jonathan is a specialist in insurance litigation. Focussing primarily on the counter fraud arena, his expertise is in defending motor and casualty fraud matters.

With sound technical knowledge, Jonathan has acted on a cross-spectrum of fraudulent actions ranging from suspected exaggeration to complex multi-claimant fraud rings. He has achieved significant savings using technical arguments, and findings of fundamental dishonesty following the deployment of bespoke fraud based strategies.

His personable approach enables him to excel when providing training and engaging directly with clients or colleagues.

Jonathan has extensive experience in acting on behalf of multi-national insurers based within the United Kingdom and across the European Union.

He has had notable successes, including defending a frivolous injury claim following a minor road traffic incident, where the Claimant alleged significant injury and restriction. Following a rigorous investigation, it transpired that the Claimant was in fact a world-class Mixed Martial Arts fighter who had trained and won a championship fight during his alleged period of injury and physical restriction. Following submissions, on behalf of the Defendant, the claim was dismissed and the Claimant was found to have been fundamentally dishonest, later appearing on BBC’s Claimed and Shamed.

Jonathan completed a Degree in Political Science at the University of Birmingham before obtaining his LLB and completing his Legal Practice Course at the University of Law Birmingham. After attaining his Civil Higher Rights of Audience from the University of Law in London Jonathan qualified as a Solicitor Advocate in 2015, and was later promoted to Associate in 2022.
