Make your authorisation to sell alcohol in writing using this template, available as a free download.
For both on- and off-trade, the Licensing (Scotland) 2005 Act requires that the premises manager or a personal licence holder authorises every sale of alcohol. It is recommended that the authorisation is made in writing, so the permissions can be easily proved in the event of an investigation by the authorities.
This template has been designed to be simple to fill in and contains space to write in all the information required as standard.
When this template has been filled in, copies should be kept by the premises manager, the personal licence holder, and the authorised person(s) who will be selling alcohol.
